Daniel and I are local artisans of a wide variety of Gem Trees, Gemstone Cabochons and wire-wrapped Designer Cabochons. We are conveniently located in Beautiful Aylmer, a small community just across the river from Ottawa, Canada's capital.
Daniel has been an amateur geologist most of his life and has accumulated a large collection of rocks over the years. From that collection was born our new hobby... I should note here that to the best of our knowledge, only 100% natural stones are used for our gem trees, our Designer Freeform cabs as well as out wire-wrapped pendants.
We offer Unique Designer Freeform  Cabochons and those have been a success thanks to Daniel's incredible imagination. Here you see one of Daniel’s latest creations - a large cabochon made of very rare natural Sugilite. This very satisfying hobby has naturally expanded into a new branch: wire-wrapping.
We offer a very unique Collection of wire-wrapped Pendants in 14k Gold Filled wire, Sterling Silver, and non-tarnish Sterling Silver wire. Of course, I use Daniel's Designer Cabs!!! On your left, for your enjoyment, are two wire wrapped cabochons; at the top is one in Ocean Jasper and the other in Ochoco Tube Agate, both wrapped in 14k Gold Filled wire.
My Bonsai Gem Trees are also very popular and are available in over 40 different gemstones. I like to call these Friendship Gem Stone Trees which I have designed myself and I am proud to say that over 250 have been sold across the globe via e-Bay and word of mouth and that is so really satisfying. Lots of work goes into making these Gem Trees - first I break the stone into s mall pieces with a hammer - the pieces are tumbled for about 2 months to remove the sharp edges. Once they are out of the tumbler they are washed a few times then air dried. The gem trees usually have 14 branches which take about 2-3 days to dry and then another 2-3 days for mounting. As example on your left is an Amethyst Gem Tree on an Amethyst filled geode base.
 I have recently added a Feng Shui version to my Gem Trees that is absolutely adorable and has been very well received by clients. On your right is a Turquoise gem Tree on a Crystal base. A specimen of turquoise is resting on the base to show this gemstone in it natural state. Of course, the laughing buddha waits patiently to welcome peace and happiness into your home.
